Project

1 December 2009

I’m craving shutting out the demands of everything and just putting all focus on a sewing project. I’m actually waiting for some supplies to come for a Christmas project for the kids, but in the meantime I was thinking about quilts that are next up for producing.

I’ve been wanting to do a special quilt for my bed but couldn’t find a pattern until this one came out.

From Denyse Schmidt of course, this pattern comes with instructions for each letter so you can make a quilt that says anything! I’m super excited about this because the pattern is not too girly so I know M will love it and I want to have our names, and the date we were married, and maybe something else on it. My goal is to have this one done for spring, when we take off our winter duvet and go quilt style for the summer.

And since we will probably shift Theo into a twin (versus toddler) size bed this coming year I want to make this Stacking the Odds Quilt for him.

theosIt will be awesome I’m sure of it.

My project of the moment should be cleaning my house… but how about we push that one off until tomorrow?

And as a quick reminder, don’t forget the Buy 2 Get 1 Free + Free 5×7 Surprise print going on through December 5th! I packaged up some prints today and had a fun time, based on each customer’s order, picking out a 5×7 print that complimented their order.

You are such a woman! Man I wish I had your energy and ambition! I would love to be able to make a quilt like those.
